FIU Mock Hurricane Event Prep serving First Responders

We partnered with FIU’s Hospitality Program to fuel the heroes participating in the 10th Annual Disaster Preparedness Simulated Field Exercises.
When disaster strikes, these dedicated departments answer the call-saving lives, supporting communities, and making an impact when it matters most.

Providing meals is just a small way we can show gratitude for their commitment. Proud to stand alongside these responders as they train to keep us all safe! Students today, disaster response leaders tomorrow.

FIU Stempel College’s Academy for Disaster Preparedness (AIDP) celebrated its 10th annual multi-day disaster field exercise. Students simulated hurricane relief and recovery efforts as part of their master’s program in disaster management. Congratulations to our students for completing the exercise—your dedication proves that anything is possible!

Special thank you to our FIU community, as well as all the emergency response agencies, health providers, and national defense and security organizations that helped make this happen.

Shoutout to the students at Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management for partnering up with the Guy Fieri Foundation to provide all participants with delicious meals!
