Windsor HS Ribbon Cutting and Demo

The Guy Fieri Foundation was busy this week at Windsor HS with not only an event and ribbon cutting for the culinary program of their new PROWL Mobile Trailer, but also an in-class cooking demo with our Founder, Guy Fieri and our Culinary Chef Cesar Orozco.

Monday there was a ribbon cutting ceremony for the students and Vineyard academy of Windsor High School for the grand reveal of their mobile food trailer that the students will be running and gaining real life experience. Guy Fieri and his entire family along with the Guy Fieri Foundation team were on hand to be a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony. The Guy Fieri Foundation had provided a grant to their program to purchase the PROWL trailer for the students to use at events and to run and gain real working experience. The whole Fieri Family was there in person and proud of what the Foundation has done to support the students and the program. The were especially proud of their son Ryder, who is a senior at Windsor High School who also donated to the build of the trailer with his winnings from a special episode of GGG. The family and the Foundation coulnd’t be more proud!

On Wednesday, Guy and the Foundation along with Chef Cesar visited the classsroom of Vineyard Academy to demonstrate to students and give a culinary lesson on Sofrito, a foundation sauce in Caribbean, Latin American, and Spanish cooking. The students are involved in the process of creating the menu items for PROWL, and many different aspects of PROWL! This is a student run program and they should be very proud of all they have accomplished. Guy and the entire team at the Foundation will continue to support this program and other programs around the country. Big thanks to Marie Ganister and and team at Vineyard Academy for taking such great pride in guiding the future of these students.
