Dixie Fire Disaster Relief

The Guy Fieri Foundation mobilized our Rescue Trailer to Susanville during the week of August 23, 2021 to feed the firefighters and first responders battling the Dixie Fire.

Led by our Founder Guy Fieri and a team of over 30 volunteers, we fed over 2,200 firefighters, first responders, and support personnel each night. We provided meals featuring BBQ pulled pork, pasta, hand made meatballs, mac n cheese, garlic bread, and salads.

We not only fed first responders that came through our line, we put together 100’s of to go packages each day to feed those that were out in the field and not able to come to base camp.

The response, support, and donations from the local community members including generators, bottled water, equipment, and volunteerism, allowed us to focus on making sure we provided home cooked, made from scratch meals for them each day.

The Guy Fieri Foundation would like to thank the community members, local sheriffs, local shelters, and business owners for supporting our program and time in Susanville. Our Foundation can’t do it alone without the help of the community, volunteers, and donors.
